EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: 3 years verified
- No Failure to Appear on Motor Vehicle Record (unless cleared by legal verification)
- No more than 3 moving citations within the last 3 years
- No reckless, negligent or careless citations in the last 3 years
- No over 15+ speeding citation in the last 3 years
- No driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs citations or charges in the last 7 years
- Accidents within the past 3 years are subject to review of the facts to determine preventability/fault:
- Preventable Major Accidents ($10,000 or more; rear-end, roll over, or other serious DOT recordable accident); None within the past 3 years unless approved by the VP Safety
- Preventable Accidents ($9,999 to $1,000); No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 12 months or more than 2 in the last 3 years unless approved by the VP Safety
- Preventable Minor Accidents ($999 to $0, animal hits); No more than 3 in the past 12 months unless approved by the VP of Safety
- Verification of employment and CSA safety history within the last 3 years
WHAT TO EXPECT
- When you are hired, you can expect to attend a three day orientation. Orientation location will be at Selma, Ca. The days will start bright and early and will include the following:
- Lunch provided at the terminal
- Your own hotel room$225 orientation pay
- DOT Physical
- Road test
- Backing test
- Urine and hair follicle drug screens
- Meet your Fleet Manager face to face
DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR ORIENTATION
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Second form of identification (Passport or Social Security Card/Birth Certificate)
- Current DOT medical card registered with your stateVoided check/deposit slip for payroll or routing numbers from your account
- What to pack
- Clothing and supplies for approximately 1 week.
- Bedding for the truck. Sleeping bag and pillow are normal choices.
- Interstate does require safety footwear which is work shoes or boots that are oil and slip resistant, preferably with ankle support.
